What to Expect

We are a diverse group of ordinary people who share one primary thing in common: we love Jesus Christ and want to share his good news with our community! The best way to get to know us is to stop by on a Sunday morning. Here's an overview of what you can expect when you visit a Sunday service:

Time & Location

We meet on Sundays at 10:45 a.m. in the auditorium (upstairs) for our worship service. You can find directions here. We are an intimate, smaller congregation, but you will find the people friendly and hospitable.

You'll find that dress ranges from casual to business casual. When you arrive, you'll be welcomed by friendly greeters who will gladly answer your questions and provide directions without being overbearing.

The Beginning of the Meeting

Around 10:45, we will signal the beginning of the service with a welcome and a few brief announcements. As our time of worship together begins, a thoughtfully planned blend of God-centered music and Scripture meditations will help you focus your heart and mind on the greatness and goodness of God. The style of our music is conservative, and the atmosphere is one of joyful praise. Our selections draw extensively from the rich tradition of Christian hymnody, although we also include newer songs in our singing. After we’re done singing,  there will be an opportunity for members to give tithes and offerings (but we never ask our guests to contribute financially!).

The Heart of the Meeting

At the core of the service, you’ll hear our pastor preach a message that is faithful to God’s Word, focused on Jesus Christ, and oriented toward practical application. Sermons are expository (meaning that the point of the sermon is the point of the Scripture it was taken from) and expositional (progressing systematically through a specific book of the Bible). We believe that Scripture-based, Christ-centered, relevant preaching is vitally important, so we typically devote about 40 minutes to the sermon. After that, we often sing a song that allows us to respond to God's Word.

Sunday School/Bible Study Hour
The emphasis during this hour is interactive teaching of the Bible and its truths applied to our lives. Classes are provided for children according to age and grade level, with an adult class meeting in the auditorium.
